Next time, maybe...

Posted by Ti (Alpharetta, United States) on 16 January 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

An old post from a different blog that was favored by many, I've decided to share it with my new family members here on Am3...

Now posting on Monday and Thursday

k@ from Paris, France

No use - next time you'll catch only a bird when here you captured a wondrous dream*

16 Jan 2009 10:41am

@k@: Tell me about it! I almost deleted it when viewing from 2.5" LCD screen, good thing I didn't! Later when I viewed on my 22" screen...wow!!! Imagine the shutter fired half a second sooner, or later, I could only imagine that image in my dream...

Now my rule is: never delete any frame from your camera until you've examed them on computer screen!

Simon Hawkings from Reading, United Kingdom

Fantastic choice of focal point, lovely photo!

@Simon Hawkings: It was not by "choice" though...I wish I was that good to know what to choose at the time... :-)

vz-nostalgia from United States

ah, here it is, the famous "bird dream". :-) One of your best works ever (by chance, I know :-))

@vz-nostalgia: One of the best? Probably "the" best, so far... :-)
Isn't it sad for being praised for your screw up? :-)

Stéphane from Bruxelles, Belgium

Very nice action shot.

@Stéphane: Thanks for the compliment.

Grahame from Mt Maunganui, New Zealand

One of the joys of photography and or life.
Screwing up but managing to salvage something worthwhile out of it !
Love the action in this shot.

@Grahame: The dreadful rainy weather helped a lot with this shot. Because of it I had to slow down the speed and gotten this shot! I kinda like the focused wet trunk in contrast to everything else...

Sarah from Vaud, Switzerland

Wow - great depth of field, very cool shot!!
